But with how people turn into animals, I can't help but wonder if it was a Moonblessed or not. Anyway! I sure hope not 'cause someone squashed it while I was looking at it.
I do sincerely hope this letter reaches you in good health. I would like to once again express my gratitude for your patient company the other day. While the depths of my sentiments are oft limited in expression due in no small part to my own flaws, perhaps in this way I might endeavor to show my sincerity.
Though our acquaintance in the Manor was brief at best, certainly cut even shorter by way of this mysterious new world we find ourselves in now, I stand by my previous statement that I would be grateful to deepen our understandings of one another if you are so inclined. In that place I had been your senior, however here it is just the opposite. In no way do I hope to burden you with my clumsy adjustments, but your guidance is yet another thing to be thankful for.
I recall that during our last conversation you had asserted there was "not much worth learning" about yourself, and with all due respect I venture to disagree; all persons carry their own stories deep within their hearts, and no such story is undeserving of being heard. Therein I both assure and assert to you that should you choose to share your story with me someday, know it would be treasured well and protected in my silence.
As I did not have the chance to ask previously, allow me to do so now: Are you also quite fond of flowers? I had noticed those you were keeping in your room last I visited. Wick and I enjoy happening upon the many gardens on our walks together, though I wonder if there is any garden—or flower for that matter—that you favor in particular. Please do tell me so that I may see it for myself sometime.
fine ill tell you one instead once upon a time i went to a love hotel with an ojisan but my classmates caught me somehow im not sure what they were doing in that part of town?? very weird anyway the next day at school this kid kept harassing me asking me what id done with such a gross old man so i grabbed him by the balls they kicked me out of school for a week! but it was worth it
[There's one person who can't avoid Mike as well as everyone can because he lives with him! So they can address the rather large elephant in the room. Unfortunately their work hours have been polar opposite.]
[ While having a roommate during this time has done little but make the stress worse, at the very least their opposing schedules have made it easier to avoid the topic he'd rather not breach. It's made it easier to hide himself away, sleepless and forgetful.
Unfortunately, it seems that might not last. ]
.you
know I don't leave during the day unless i have to.
[ Which, he's honestly debating. Covering up and slinking out might be easier than dealing with whatever this is, but it will only work for so long against Mike, he knows that for certain. ]
[Good man! Leaving would not work for very long at all. Because Mike would chase him down with dogged determination. That's pointless anyways, because Mike is much closer to the apartment than one could reasonable expect. Seems that someone was afraid the gravekeeper would run was a real possibility.
But unlike any other time Mike has re-entered the apartment with a great amount of zeal today the door opens and closes with a quiet click. Never in his entire life has he made so many mistakes in a performance. But he's too heartsore too keep up with the life pace that fits him so well. The lack of sleep from last week has done Mike no favors either. No amount of concealer could fully hide the dark circles under his eyes that have settled in ever since he was given everything from a vision of ten years from now- then had it snatched away.
So as lionhearted as the little acrobat is right now he finds himself laden with apprehension. But he can put on a brave face one last time so he can approach Andrew's door. He forces a thin smile back on his face and releases a quick ra-tat-tat on the door.]
Andrew? I'm going to come in now!
[There: now Mike has to go through with it. With no way to turn back now he squares his shoulders and waits for the door to (hopefully) open.]
[ A certain meeting on the beach has left him in perhaps an even worse state than he was after the visions hit. It was a bit easier, perhaps, to deal with it then, but now...he almost feels like he's back at Lutz, an unfriendly cold settling in his bones and making him feel heavy. Hopeless. Pathetic, just like how he always is.
He hasn't really been sleeping well, and the nightmares have done little to help. The dark smudges that already existed look almost like purpling bruises now. Eating also hasn't been a constant, appetite diminishing the more his thoughts swim. A half-empty glass of water sits next to him on the desk where he lays his head in his arms, red eyes reflecting off the glass in the dim light. Andrew doesn't even hear the other man enter the apartment, gaze boring into the circle of silver that perches on the wood beside his arms, staring at it like it'll give him answers if he tries hard enough.
The knock on the door makes him jump, and for a moment he just sits there, anxiety boring into his marrow before he draws in a shaky breath and stands. A drawer is opened and said ring is dropped in before he bothers shuffling to the door, cracking it open and peering out at the blond in front of it before slowly opening it fully. ]
...W-Whatever. Just...make it quick, then....
[ He doesn't even really have it in him to be aggravated as usual. Not when he looks and sounds like the walking dead. ]
[The acrobat gets one good look at Andrew and the cold jagged claws of guilt curl painfully around his heart. It's in how unhealthy Andrew looks. It's the air of despair clinging to the taller man's figure. A few realizations hit him as his defiant smile freezes in place. It's like Mike is looking at the strange new gravekeeper that first arrived at the manor. As if time hasn't passed at all.
He should've been more attentive. He should have insisted on a talk about everything earlier. There was an entirely different approach that Mike was going to take here. But it shifted the moment he saw how miserable Andrew looks. Once the terse invite in is extended to him Mike shuffles in; quite nearly at a loss on where to start.]
No, [He shakes his head. He won't make it quick actually. The movement jostles the chain holding his own ring given to Mike from a reality ten years from now. One that... Can't exist in the same way now that they know about it. Now that he's demanded Fiona take such a divergent path. Unlike what he's heard of Andrew's reaction he has a much more hopeful outlook. It remains heavy against his chest as a reminder of his promise to others and himself.] You-
...You haven't been taking care of yourself recently have you?
[He reaches to take Andrew's up in his own gently. Even before all this mess Mike has never had reservations about casual touch.]

[ His first actual texting experience that is completely normal, and he has no idea how to go about this. ]
I don't think moonblessed can become bugs, as far as I've seen.
[ Then again, what does he know. He has seen one (1) whole other iris in two months. ]
It's probably fine.
